Entry 20

June 20th 2008 7:15 P.M.

It’s been exactly one year and fifteen minutes since I started this journal. Back then the promise of knowledge and unknown sites had us all positively buzzing with anticipation.

Now, all that's left of my team is myself and six others. Yesterday it was fifteen. Eight of them couldn’t stand being here one more second. They hung themselves from the vines in our agricultural area. I found them in a circle dangling by their necks early this morning. I can’t even begin to understand what might be taking Geneticorp so long to send a rescue team after us. I mean really, my team constructed a second gate that can only seem to target the Armatae Hominivorax world out of scraps. the thought of being stranded here forever and the only means of escape means being torn limb from limb by the A.H. proved too much for them. Seven out of thirty remain, myself included. Through it all though I have to stay positive. Something, somehow will help us get home right?

Billy has just informed me that a gate has opened where we entered. What a cruel mistress reality is. Does this mean they’ve all died in folly? I have to go check it out.
