I’ve been quite productive in the last few hours. I’ve found a way to “tune in” to the swarm’s home universe. It was a simple matter of frequency. Once I had discovered that, finding a universe that matched the gateways readings when it was activated was mere child's play. So now I’ve spent the last hour peering into their world. It’s absolutely astounding.
I’ve also just recently received the final readouts of the venom that the creatures produce. Only after constructing a much more sensitive device to measure it however. The venom seems to possess nearly one hundred different types of toxins that affect all manner of things from muscle contraction to synaptic firing. It appears that they are perfectly adapted to protect themselves from and eliminate any perceived threats. So, tomorrow we will begin to test what conventional pest control methods affect them. Just in case of another incident.
For now I think I’ll get some rest.
