It has been eight days without even the slightest hint of rescue. I suppose the gateway could have been severely damaged during its malfunction on our trip, but my mind is elsewhere.

Lianna, my dear wife. Although you may never read these words, know I miss you terribly. I hope to be home soon. I keep up spirits but, the rest of the team fears we’ve been abandoned.

Back to the science side of things. My team and I have been working to get every ounce of functionality restored to the facilities. Curiously, this place appears to have an ambient electrostatic field which we are able to use to power our equipment. Nikolai Tesla would be ever so proud.

We’ve also begun attempting to construct another gateway in an effort to escape if help does not arrive soon. I surmise this second Transdimensional Gateway will be crude but functional in a few days.
